BioDelivery Sciences, a US-based speciality pharmaceutical company focused on treatments for pain and addiction, has hired Scott Plesha as Senior Vice President of Sales. He will lead sales for Bunavail, the company's treatment for opioid dependence.
At the same time, the Raleigh, NC-based company's managed markets will continue to be led by another recent appointment, of Mike Bullock, further expanding upon both new roles.
Plesha joins BDSI with more than 25 years of sales experience and in excess of 18 years of sales management experience within the pharmaceutical and medical industries.
Most recently he was Senior Vice President, GI Sales Force and Training for Salix Pharmaceuticals, where since 2002 he led the company's gastrointestinal (GI) speciality sales force, the sales training department and many sales operations functions.
Bullock is also a former Salix employee.
