Germany-based metal detection and separation systems provider S+S Separation and Sorting Technology is expanding its service provision into the US with the opening of a new facility in Tucker, Georgia.
The new corporation, S+S Inspection will provide sales and service for the range of S+S equipment throughout the US.
Until now, the US market has been served by a distributor but the demand for S+S separators and sorters has grown to the point where direct control of both sales and service has become essential. Richard Lines, managing director of S+S Inspection in the UK, has been appointed vice president of the new operation and will be dividing his time between the UK and the US. Announcing the new corporation, Lines said: "The US market for our equipment is growing rapidly and it has become essential that we invest in developing the infrastructure needed to support the user base both with supply and installation but, importantly, with on-site technical services. S+S has a reputation for pre- and after-sales service and this reputation will be maintained from the new base in Georgia."
S+S has worked with clients in the development of solutions to product inspection, metal detection and contaminant removal.
