Sepha's non destructive leak testing for blisterpacks

The BlisterScan test is clean, dry and non-destructive. Blisters which 'pass' the test can be re-introduced to the blister line, saving product and reducing waste costs. Product from failed blisters can be deblistered intact and immediately repackaged.

The two minute test detects leaks and weak seals down to 5mm across a blister web. It identifies the precise pocket which leaks, speeding up diagnosis of technical problems and minimising production of excess rejects.

A Pass or Fail status for each blister pocket is shown on the touch-screen display. As operators have no influence over results, BlisterScan can be fully validated. The 30 second, tool-less product changeover needs only two low-cost plates.

Sepha's new, jam-free Press-Out Universal deblistering machine recovers tablets and capsules from all types of reject blister pack, including child-resistant, circular, diagonal or irregular layouts, and even curled blisters.

This machine is an essential component of any blister line packing high value products as it recovers 100% of product from up to 50 blisters per minute without damage or foil contamination. All recovered product can then be immediately repackaged, increasing production yields from the blister line.

The Press-Out Universal handles problem blisters such as those containing fragile tablets with break lines and very small or unusually shaped tablets.
