Russell Finex is launching the latest addition to its range of vibratory sieving equipment. The Blow Thru Sieve has been designed and certified for use in pneumatic conveying lines, enabling processors to screen and transport material simultaneously.
Its development has come about as a result of a need to check-screen powder during dilute-phase positive pressure pneumatic conveying. The Blow Thru Sieve ensures that ingredients coming in or final products leaving a plant are free from contamination.
By combining screening and transportation the sieve eliminates double handling and increases efficiency by enabling processors to screen material as they load or unload tankers or silos without slowing the process. The Blow Thru Sieve is a fully certified pressure vessel and meets international pressure equipment legislation. It can be used up to a maximum pressure of 2 bar and is ideal for any bulk powder application where quality and efficiency are important factors.
Assembly and disassembly of the unit are achieved using a simple tool supplied with the sieve. This allows cleaning between batches to be a quick and simple process. The unit can be mounted on a mobile stand allowing it to be used at several locations at one site.
The Compact Airlock Sieve (patent pending) has added a new dimension to screening technology for the pharmaceutical industry. Said to be the first real advance in pharmaceutical sieving technology for 10 years, with its validatable pneumatic clamping system giving large improvements in product containment and operator health and safety, this pneumatic lock gives an even and high clamping force across all sealing faces and therefore guards against powder leakage more effectively than traditional band clamps or over-centre toggle clamps. With powders safely contained, the screener accurately removes any contamination.
The third new sieve being introduced is the Mini Sifter. This unit has been developed out of a need to provide entry-level screeners for smaller processing applications. Based on the company's compact sieve technology, the Mini Sifter offers the same benefits but at an entry level price. The simple design of the Mini Sifter means that cleaning, maintenance and operation are easy tasks that can be achieved in seconds.
The final addition to the Russell Finex range is the Russell Eco Filter, which has been re-engineered to provide even greater benefits to liquid processors. The primary benefit of the filter remains the same: it eliminates contamination from liquids in a clean and simple fashion without the mess and environmental impact of the more traditional bag or cartridge filter.
The new 502 Eco Filter offers the same operating performance in terms of improved product quality, increased capacity and reduced maintenance costs, but has been designed to take advantage of modern manufacturing technologies, with the cost savings passed on to end users.
