Roman will report directly to Jon A. Giberson, Vice President and General Manager, Americas. “Roman Myrna brings an exceptionally diverse and progressive understanding within several technology platforms to Sonneborn,” says Jon Giberson.
“His extensive knowledge and expertise, both professionally and personally, will establish him as a strong addition to the Sonneborn Team.”
Roman is a proven manufacturing leader with more than 25 years of experience in the specialty chemical industry overseeing complex chemical facilities for a variety of technologies. He has a safety first mentality and has strong experience with OSHA Process Safety Management regulated facilities.

Roman Myrna started his career as a Project Engineer at Hoechst Celanese and progressed into plant management, most recently as Site Manager for Arkema’s Memphis (TN, USA) site where they produce hydrogen peroxide.
Previously, he was a Site Manager for Huntman’s Chicago Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) site. Before this, he was an Operations Manager for Cytec, and a Focus Factory Manager for Covidien. Mr Myrna holds a BS in chemical engineering from California State University and is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
