Spellex Corporation has released a new version of its medical and pharmaceutical spelling software for Microsoft and other programs.
The 2007 release includes new specialty words from the medical and pharmaceutical industries in the United Kingdom.
The dictionaries offer an alternative to paper medical dictionaries, pharmaceutical word books and medical spellers that are based on American English words. By adding Spellex Medical 2007 and Spellex Pharmaceutical 2007 to a common UK English language spell checker, the spell checkers will verify correctly spelt medical and pharmaceutical words and provide correct spelling choices for incorrectly spelt terms.
The spell checkers also allow users to verify unsure spelling of medical and pharmaceutical words by phonetic or typographical search as they type. Both the standard UK English language dictionary and the Spellex specialty dictionaries are checked simultaneously
Spellex Medical 2007 adds more than 300,000 medical words from some 70 medical specialties to the basic speller. Medical dictionary users can subscribe to the Spell-X-Plus software subscription service for quarterly software updates of new medical terms and new medications.
Spellex Pharmaceutical 2007 correctly spells thousands of OTC drugs and prescription pharmaceuticals, generic and trade name drugs, Latin and Greek terms, orphan drugs, pharmaceutical manufacturers and drug distributors.
