Germany-based Starlab International has aquired the remaining shares of Life Systems Design, a distributor of products for research laboratories.
Life Systems is Design is one of the world's leading manufacturer of liquid handling laboratory products.
The respective contract has been signed by both companies and executed on 15 August, 2023. With this strategic acquisition, Starlab is strengthening its core business and continuing its expansion across central Europe.
As one of the world's leading manufacturers of liquid handling laboratory products for the life science industry as well as for academic and commercial research, the company is reaffirming its commitment to regional presence and local customer service.

Founded in 1997, Life Systems Design quickly established itself as a trusted partner for research laboratories. The company specialises in liquid handling consumables and instruments for PCR and high throughput applications. In 2000, Life Systems became the exclusive Swiss supplier for Starlab's TipOne pipette tip system, known for the highest level of precision and universal tip fit with the entire range of laboratory pipettes.
