Straps secure boxes at AAH Pharma

Strapping machinery from Mosca forms part of a highly automated despatch and distribution sytem for pharmaceutical wholesaler AAH Pharmaceuticals.

AAH distributes over 25 000 stock lines throughout the UK using a JIT service. Products for each pharmacy – typically three items in each line – are packed into two sizes of AAH's own design plastic box. The boxes are then labelled, lidded and strapped using Mosca's ROTR range of in-line strapping equipment.

All the Mosca machines feature the company's direct drive, brushless motor technology, which reduces the number of moving parts in the machine to provide improved performance, increased speed and long-term reliability.

The machines are currently strapping up to 1,500 boxes each hour for AAH.
