Innovative design meets the highest standards in food, pharma, and water treatment

ifm, a global leader in innovative sensor technology, proudly announces the launch of the SU Puresonic Hygienic ultrasonic sensor. Designed to meet the rigorous demands of the food, pharmaceutical, and water treatment industries, this cutting-edge sensor ensures precise flow measurement whilst maintaining the highest standards of hygiene.

The SU Puresonic is engineered to detect flows of both conductive and non-conductive media with exceptional accuracy. From ultrapure water to food oils like sunflower and rapeseed oil, the sensor delivers reliable performance across a wide range of applications. Boasting a robust stainless steel measuring tube free of seals, moving parts, or internal measuring elements, the SU Puresonic eliminates common issues such as leaks, blockages, and pressure drops. This streamlined design ensures uninterrupted operation and long-term reliability.

The SUHxx clamp process connection, compliant with DIN 32676 standards, permits quick and tool-free installation or replacement. Its design minimises dead spaces, facilitating efficient cleaning and sterilisation (CIP/SIP) processes, which are critical in hygienic environments.

The SU Puresonic Hygienic series offers expanded capabilities, including a wider range of nominal widths (DN15 to DN100) and an extended temperature range of -40°C to +120°C, with resistance up to 150°C for short durations. These features make it a versatile solution for diverse industrial needs. With a surface roughness of ≤ 0.4 µm on wetted surfaces, the SU Puresonic meets stringent hygiene requirements. This ensures optimal performance in applications where cleanliness and precision are paramount.
