Alfares Pharmaceuticals has become the first manufacturer of healthcare products in the Middle East to use PP Payne's Supastrip for the easy opening of its product range.

Based in Damascus, Syria, the company specialises in the manufacture of drugs for a variety of medical conditions. Its range includes syrups, tablets, sachets, gels, creams and ointments.

With many of its products over-wrapped, the company required an easy opening mechanism to provide user convenience and bring added value to its packaging.

The Supastrip provides a fast and reliable system that allows consumers convenient access to packages. The tape's cold adhesive application creates a lay-flat finish, ensuring that the tear does not detract from the overall pack appearance or brand image.

Alfares has selected 2mm Supastrip in red. It is supplied on 12km bobbins to allow longer production runs between changeovers.
