Support from a distance
Logopak International has developed a remote service module (RSM), which can be used to assist in the early identification and remote resolution of production site problems. The RSM can be installed into all Logopak's systems including LEAP, LEAP hybrid and iLEAP64 controls. The module provides remote access into the machine controller via an ISDN line from anywhere in the world, and allows database access from a separate secure Internet or intranet site.
The RSM is already being installed into a number of UK and Irish accounts, which are not situated close to a main service point, and is being used to ensure that any service issues can be identified and resolved quickly, or if there are possible faults, that the engineer will know exactly what the problems are prior to visiting the site.
