Take the tedium out of salt and polymorph screens
Polymorph screening is a time-consuming process, which is why Zinsser Analytic has developed Crissy, a workbench designed to automate the job of salt pre-screening or polymorph screening studies, making them less tedious.

The platform automates all the necessary steps from the precise gravimetric controlled distribution of the active pharmaceutical ingredient (<1mg), the liquid handling of solvents, the crystallisation at controlled temperatures under agitation and concentration or evaporation as well as pH-measurement.
A special reactor block has been designed to present the crystals directly to the X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) system without requiring any additional sampling steps.
The surface of the reactor base is ideal for XRPD-detection and the likelihood of cross-contamination being caused by electrostatic charge of the powders has been minimised.
The system is supported by powerful software and there is a choice of screens - the Library Studio of Symyx or the ZinsserDesigner. This is then combined with the control software WinLissy, the scheduling tool WinRun and a data collection module which stores all data created in an internal SQL-database.
