UK acquisition boost for Schwabe Pharmaceuticals

A family-owned German company with a specialism in the development, manufacture and marketing of phytomedicines, has gained access to the UK market with the acquisition of MH Pharma in Marlow.


A family-owned German company with a specialism in the development, manufacture and marketing of phytomedicines, has gained access to the UK market with the acquisition of MH Pharma in Marlow.

Schwabe Pharmaceuticals in Karlsruhe, Germany was founded in 1866. Its acquisition of the privately-held company will boost the company market foothold. To date, it has more than 20 subsidiaries and joint ventures in European countries as well as in the US, Mexico and China. Worldwide sales reached Euro 500m in 2007.
