Ultrafine upgrades kilo laboratory

Ultrafine, of Manchester in the UK, is upgrading its kilo lab capabilities to include new 50 and 20 litre vessels, a 20 litre Hastelloy pressure vessel, environmental control systems and a 10 litre wiped film evaporator.

The upgrade is aimed at increasing capacity and giving the company the flexibility to conduct a wider variety of chemistry, according to Rick Dyer, Ultrafine's head of chemistry operations.

'Combined with the commissioning of out new 200 litre facility, the upgrade will enable us to deliver on a much greater number of projects in the future,' he said.
