Wallet packer speeds production

Isopac has designed and built a system to bond blisters to cards to form wallet packs for Almedica Europe, a major producer of clinical trial packs.

The new machine is designed to replace Almedica's existing heat seal system. The fully integrated system meets current GMP requirements and is designed for easy movement by pallet truck between packaging stations.

A hot melt system is integrated into the unit, which applies adhesive to the cards before transporting them on belts, where the blisters are automatically placed and bonded. Each unit is then folded to form a wallet and ejected from the machine at up to 60/min.
