West's On-line inspection system

California-based Resina West has introduced the Visionary multi-function on-line inspection system for caps, labels and outserts. Aimed at manufacturers and fillers of bottles for liquid and viscous products, including medicines, the Visionary system simultaneously inspects for a variety of empty or filled containers defects, including containers with missing, skewed or 'high' caps. It can also inspect for fill level, crooked or missing labels, presence of outserts, and missing foil liners. Using the latest image acquisition technology, the Visionary system rapidly evaluates each acquired container image and determines whether it is within the established parameters.
