A new life science consultancy launched earlier in the year has expanded its panel of consultants.

Simon Lazenbatt, based in Sri Lanka, will be joining the international team with responsibility for the operation of Xiota in the Middle East and Asia.

Xiota seeks to make a difference by ploughing back the profits of its consultancy and expertise into charitable activities in healthcare and related industries.

Simon has over 25 years international experience encompassing general management, regional management, sales and marketing, and manufacturing, in addition to regulatory and business development. His career includes a position at SmithKline Beecham.

Mike Reardon, Xiota executive chairman and ceo, said: ‘This is a year of building for Xiota and I am delighted to welcome Simon to the Xiota consultant panel. Having Simon based locally with extensive understanding of how business is conducted in the area is a huge benefit to the whole Xiota Group. Not only will he be able to help with inward investment into commercialising products across Asia, he will be well positioned to work with other group consultants to bring Asian companies to Europe and North America.
