YLGM and AGL officially launch “Yusen Africa” joint venture in Nairobi

Yusen Logistics Global Management and Africa Global Logistics have inaugurated Yusen Africa in Kenya, establishing a new East African logistics hub to strengthen regional trade corridors and deliver integrated supply chain solutions

Yusen Logistics Global Management (YLGM) and Africa Global Logistics (AGL) have unveiled their new joint venture, Yusen Africa (East Africa) Limited, at a ceremony held in Nairobi, Kenya.

The celebration brought together representatives from the Government of Kenya, members of the diplomatic and business communities and key stakeholders from both companies.

The company is positioned as a leading international freight forwarding and logistics provider, offering end-to-end services including freight forwarding, multimodal transport, contract logistics, customs brokerage, cold chain, e-commerce and project logistics.


The launch follows the signing of a Joint Venture Agreement between YLGM and AGL Kenya Limited, a subsidiary of AGL.

Kenya will serve as a strategic gateway for regional operations, supporting key trade corridors including the Northern Corridor, the Central Corridor and the Ethiopia-Djibouti Corridor.

By combining AGL’s strong regional presence and local market expertise with Yusen Logistics’ global network, advanced digital platforms and international supply chain capabilities, Yusen Africa aims to support customers across key sectors, including automotive, healthcare, FMCG, infrastructure and industrial projects.
