Machine manufacturer ystral has announced the opening of a new trial centre at its headquarters based in Ballrechten-Dottingen, Germany.
In its statement, the company said the new facility will enable it to conduct more customer trials and process a broader range of raw materials.
The firm added that companies from the chemical, paints and coatings, food, pharmaceutical, household and cosmetics industries are invited to develop new products and processes or optimise existing ones, train their operating personnel on ystral machines and test the mixing technology provider's solutions at the new trial centre.
ystral said that it has already been awarded contracts from customers that have trialled testing at the centre.
"Our experience shows that tests carried out in our trial centre almost always lead to collaboration," said Uwe Klaumünzner, Head of Development and Trials at ystral.
The company stressed that the new trial area complies with statutory explosion protection and water protection requirements and the machines used are ATEX-compliant.
Thus, trials with flammable and explosive media will be possible following case-by-case assessments.
Companies testing their products do not need to be on-site, with the option to follow the proceedings remotely via livestream.
Samples can be examined under an optical microscope, which includes both density measurement and particle size analysis. Viscosities can be determined using various methods, with and without tempering and curves for different shear rates can also be recorded.
ystral added in its statement that the trial building can accommodate an additional building on an adjacent open site, allowing the company to expand should it want to.
"At our current company size, we are very well positioned with our existing trial facilities," added ystral Managing Director and co-owner Peter Manke.
However, we planned our new trial centre from the outset in such a way that expansion is possible.
