Zequel Technologies to branch out into Europe

Zequel Technologies Inc., a US specialist in policy management and compliance software, is expanding into Europe as Zequel Ltd with the launch of its DynamicPolicy software solution. The DynamicPolicy software, which has already been taken up by Shering-Plough, is completely web-based and can be used for any instruction or communication to staff 'where acceptance and understanding is required'. It can assist companies in electronic management of corporate policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory compliance and reporting requirements, and provide measurability and accountability of employees.

Used as a framework for the customised policies of individual companies, DynamicPolicy has ease-of-use as its central priority. Designed to eliminate what Tim Wickes, ceo of Zequel, called the 'disaster area' of manual compliance, DynamicPolicy distributes all new policies to employees electronically, and ensures the reading and understanding of these policies by the implementation of assessment questions and the signing of an agreement.

A variable pass mark can be set for the questions, and anyone falling below that mark will be required to repeat until they reach the required level. Employees who do not read and respond to new policies will be given warnings to do so by the DynamicPolicy software. Zequel sees compliance as a potentially high revenue earner as companies seek to reduce their liability in areas such as health and safety. It will be targeting the product at SMEs.
