etrials Worldwide Inc, a provider of adaptive eClinical software and services that optimise clinical trial management, has won a contract from a global pharmaceutical company for four new studies worth, in aggregate, around $2.6m over the duration of the trials.

The deal involves the use of etrials' innovative Patient Intelligence eDiary solution.

The upcoming projects cover hundreds of sites in more than 60 countries across North America, Europe, Africa and Asia, and will include thousands of individual subjects covering 14 different languages. These various phase trials will deploy etrials' Patient Intelligence eDiary solution in multiple Phases of clinical development using the company's Windows-based device for electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePRO).

"These projects clearly demonstrate etrials' ability to help sponsors implement innovative strategies for collecting arguably the most important data point in any trial - patient reported outcomes - on a global scale," said Denis Connaghan, etrials' president and ceo. "We are excited to be working with our client on this novel program and look forward to continuing to provide one of the industry's broadest suites of ePRO modalities that help clinical trial sponsors worldwide gain a greater degree quality data, program efficiency and patient safety."

etrials Worldwide Inc offers adaptive, web-based tools that work together to coordinate data capture, logistics, patient interaction and trial management - turning data into intelligence and shortening the pathway to an actionable study endpoint. etrials is one of the only top-tier solution providers that offers electronic data capture (EDC), interactive voice and Web response (IVR/IWR), electronic patient diaries (eDiary) as part of a flexible and integrated software-as-a-service platform or as individual solutions to capture high quality data from multiple pivot points to enable real-time access for perfectly informed decision-making.
