GEA will exhibit at this year’s virtual ACHEMA Pulse, taking place from the 15–16 June, making several announcements alongside a program of events. Within a framework of “Transforming Tomorrow,” the company is a Premium Partner of the trade fair for chemical engineering, environmental protection, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
In more than 20 webinars, interactive workshops and informative live presentations, the company will discuss topics such as smart mobility, circular economy and what it takes to accelerate vaccine production. The focus will be on today's innovations and what GEA is doing to help change processes to improve and facilitate "tomorrow."
From May 31, when the Pulse platform goes live, through June 30, visitors will be able to arrange virtual meetings, participate in live chats and get information and input from GEA’s researchers and developers and practitioners. More than 40 speakers providing insights, updates and the news will be on hand.
Throughout the event, the company’s pharmaceutical and chemical professionals will introduce a number of products and highlight developments in virtual reality technology designed to enhance the customer experience. Recently appointed CSO for Sustainability, Nadine Sterley, will talk about the company's environmental ambitions, in terms of internal goals, customer benefits and why sustainability is key for the firm.
June 15: Pharma Day
GEA will address issues such as freeze-drying and improving blood plasma fractionation to obtain better yields. At the same time, the operational benefits of its Tablet Coater, Pharma Separator lines “aseptic” and “pure”, ConsiGma 4.0 continuous manufacturing platform and the first single-use GEA Pharma Separator, kytero, will also be showcased.
Designed for mammalian cell and E. coli applications, the single use disk stack GEA Separator kytero uses GEA technology to achieve high yields, excellent separation performance and gentle product treatment, the company says. It will also discuss taking an end-to-end approach to operational excellence and improving the customer experience, containment solutions and a new type of API valve.
June 16: Chemical Day
GEA aims to help its customers design and implement more efficient processes with a lower carbon footprint. By improving resource efficiency and circularity, providing more flexible and readily available plant through digitalisation, the company takes a lifecycle approach to turning fossil fuel-based industries into more sustainable ones.
Visitors will be able to learn more about the mechanical and thermal processes transforming the routes from fossil fuel to renewables driven processes at webinars about bio-based chemicals, nanocellulose or cellulose-based biorefineries.
The company offers energy optimised processes and energy recovery solutions. At the event, it will discuss its hybrid purification systems for organic chemicals, carbon dioxide reduction and carbon capture at emission control applications.
GEA technologies are designed for resource efficiency and the low carbon economy, which will be explained during webinars on lithium recovery and processing and the recovery of valuable assets in zero liquid discharge processes. Explosion-proof/corrosion-resistant decanters and jet vacuum pumps for highly corrosive materials will also be on display, while the pilotMaster decanter centrifuge will be making its debut appearance.
