Gliding 'n' sliding autoclaves
A new range of sliding door laboratory autoclaves has been launched by LTE Scientific. Available in 150, 200 and 300 litre sizes, the Touchclave-Labs have an innovative fully interlocked vertical 'easy-glide' sliding door with floating door gasket to give what the company claims is a perfect seal. To reduce wear, the seal is automatically pulled away from the door at the end of each cycle.
Two models are available. The K models use an integral steam generator situated beneath the chamber of the customer's own direct steam supply, and are fitted with water jackets as standard. The F range uses steam generated within the chamber and can therefore operate in areas where water or drainage is not available.
