At POWTECH India 2018, in Mumbai, Germany-based Glatt Ingenieurtechnik and its Indian subsidiary, Glatt India, will showcase cutting-edge fluidised bed and spouted bed technologies that have been specifically designed to spray-granulate, dry or encapsulate fluids, and spray-agglomerate and functionalise powders for a broad range of innovative applications.
The company’s new, compact continuous agglomeration technology will significantly shorten construction, development and production cycles.
When it comes to enhancing ingredients and functionalising bulk goods with defined properties, fluid bed pioneer Glatt is well known for its established and state-of-the-art technologies. Following its European inauguration in June this year, the engineering experts are now also offering their newly developed compact system for continuous agglomeration processes in India.
Glatt GF ModFlex enables the production of uniformly porous, virtually dust-free, soluble and easily dosed granules. The process also ensures the homogenous incorporation of ingredients into agglomerates.
“We designed the new compact system for production volumes of 100–3000 kg/h and to be used in confined spaces or rooms with low ceilings,” said Lutz Heinzl, German Sales Manager.
“The predefined modules are preinstalled and preassembled to save customers an enormous amount of time and money,” he added.
Furthermore, a zone-based operating and room concept based on specific requirements is included. The continuous operation mode is suitable for the safe manufacture of high quality ingredients for food, beverage and nutraceutical applications, as well as detergents, surfactants, agrochemicals, enzymes, fertilizers and numerous other products that dissolve easily, are dust-free and can be readily dosed or pressed into tablets.
“In addition, we will present our expertise as Engineering Design Consultants,” explained Anuvrat Singal, Executive Director at Glatt India Engineering Pvt.
“Using real planning and construction projects as examples, we will show how we can support companies with bespoke design solutions, for example.”
Interested visitors should ask about Glatt’s modular plant concepts for biotechnological and pharmaceutical active ingredients, which benefit from flexible system design and ‘right first time’ principles, and can be implemented according to local requirements.
