Safeline offers portable sensitivity

The PharmX metal detection system for tablets and caplets from Safeline Metal Detection is said to provide pharmaceutical processors with the highest possible sensitivity to metal contamination. Designed as a portable machine to maximise production line flexibility, the rugged PharmX offers a high level of electronic stability and consistency in accurate signal processing.

It also includes such features as reject confirmation, built-in alarms, and an electrically operated fail-safe reject system. A pneumatic reject is available for pharmaceutical processing operations where there is a need to satisfy Class2 Div2 and Class2 Div1 GroupG Hazardous location classifications.

The entire PharmX meets FDA cleaning requirements, with a reject mechanism fabricated of mirror-finish stainless steel with no plastic parts, making it suitable for situations where extreme sanitation is required.

Easily portable between tablet lines, the PharmX has locking castors that provide stability at each new location. The unit's height is easily raised or lowered by 400mm via a gas-assisted adjustment mechanism to match the height of the output chute of the tablet press or deduster.

The reject mechanism is selectable for right or left hand operation with no tools or disassembly required. The reject output bin position can also be easily changed with integral hose adapters built into the PharmX, while an adjustable input/output angle up to 45° provides optimum product flow in tight spaces.
