BioCity Nottingham has strengthened its board of directors with the addition of Lucy Marcus, founder and ceo of Marcus Venture Consulting and Stefan Ogrodzinski, a founding director of four Midlands-based Life Science companies: BioStatus, BioSuspensions, nanoTherics and magneCell.
Reinier Danckaarts has been promoted to partner management director at Envirotainer, a provider of active temperature-controlled air cargo containers and cold chain management specialist to the healthcare industry. He has been with Envirotainer since 2001.
Andreas Schuette has joined the management board of Gerresheimer and has taken responsibility for the Plastic Systems division, comprising Gerresheimer Wilden and Gerresheimer Plastic Packaging. Schuette was most recently ceo of the Siteco Group.
French firm Innate Pharma has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Marcel Rozencweig as senior vice president in charge of clinical and regulatory strategy.
Freda Lewis-Hall is the new chief medical officer and senior vice president of Pfizer. Dr Lewis-Hall takes responsibility for enterprise-wide medical, patient safety, regulatory affairs and quality assurance. She joins Pfizer from Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where she was responsible for clinical and non-clinical development, medical and regulatory affairs.
Microbiology company Lab M has appointed Veronica Ponnuthurai as export sales manager. She succeeds Colin LeGood, who is now sales and marketing manager for Lab M with worldwide responsibility.
Swiss firm Lonza's new head of Bioscience is Anja Fiedler, who has also joined the company's management committee. Fiedler was previously md of Philip Morris Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and Hungary, following positions at Unilever.
