Biotie names Chris Piggott as chief business officer

Finnish drug discovery company Biotie Therapies has appointed Chris Piggott as chief business officer and member of the management team. He has replaced Kai Laehdesmaeki, previously vp of business development, who retired in 2007 and continues to act as an advisor to the company.

Piggott spent more than 25 years with sanofi-aventis before joining Biotie.
