Halocarbon, a US-based producer of speciality fluorochemicals, has promoted Anthony Nigro to Manager of Product Development.
Nigro has taken charge of monitoring markets that use fluorinated compounds, identifying new opportunities for Halocarbon, and transforming those opportunities into products.
Joining Halocarbon only last year, Nigro was previously responsible for its inert lubricants business segment and developing its speciality coatings and electronics fluorochemicals businesses.
The use of fluorine continues to grow in many different applications – from pharmaceuticals to photoresists – and Halocarbon’s advancement also relies on growing and moving beyond its current products and into new areas and technologies.
Nigro has spent 10 years in the chemical industry, serving as a technical sales representative with Gattefosse, at OSI Pharmaceuticals, and as a senior scientist with Roche Pharmaceuticals in its chemical synthesis group.
Halocarbon is headquartered in River Edge, New Jersey and has a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in North Augusta, South Carolina. It is one of the world’s leading producers of speciality fluorochemicals.
