The life science logistics company has opened a new office in the APAC region — specifically Chengdu, China — to bolster its presence in the key market

Life science logistics expert Biocair has opened a new office in Chengdu, China — expanding its operations in the key APAC market.

This is the eighth office the company has opened within the region, further cementing its presence in the area.

The new office comes off the back of the company's global expansion strategy, which will see the company further expand its warehouse capacity in Western China in the next few years.

Biocair first established itself in the lucrative APAC market in 2009, when the company opened its Shanghai office.

The office aims to bolster the operational capacity within Western China, and experts will be on hand to provide knowledge of the local customer base and area-specific customs regulations.

“From an operational standpoint, this new office in Chengdu will be highly beneficial for our existing clients in Western China and for those seeking to ship goods to the region,” noted Kevin Xu, APAC General Manager.

The Chengdu warehouse will provide additional import, export, pickup and delilvery options for customers in Western China — providing its clients with an extended cold-chain logistics service.

It will also have a new freezer, fridge and incubator +15 °C to +25 °C panels and will be able to handle packages requiring dry ice, +2 °C to +8 °C, +15 °C to +25 °C, and -20 °C temperature controls.

This new office will enable Biocair to expand its operations and internal team within the APAC region, with the aim to further expand warehouse capacity in Western China in the coming years.
