DSM Pharmaceutical Products in the US is integrating its custom manufacturing service for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical customers.

The company says it now plans to "capitalise on the synergies and strengths of each of its business units to provide integrated solutions for both primary and secondary manufacturing". Previously, DSM Pharmaceutical Products comprised of three business units - DSM Pharmaceuticals, DSM Pharma Chemicals and DSM Biologics - and it marketed each business unit's services separately.

Terry Novak, chief marketing officer, DSM Pharmaceutical Products, said: "Many customers have already benefited from this integrated approach by being able to bring their products to the market more quickly and by having only one key point of contact throughout the development and manufacturing process."

DSM Pharmaceutical relocated its divisional headqusrters from the Netherlands to Parsippany, New Jersey in 2005.The group has custom manufacturing and development capabilities that cover the complete spectrum from process development of small and large molecule APIs and intermediates to solid, semi-solid and sterile finished dosage forms.
